Solve et Coagula Art Print
Dissolve // Coagulate
Separate // Join Together
The alchemical phrase "Solve et Coagula" referred to the process of breaking down a substance to its base elements before reforming it into something new. Such as the breaking down of one's ego before the realization of the true self. The 19th century French occultist and philosopher Eliphas Levi's classic depiction of Baphomet has Solve & Coagula drawn on each forearm.
This hand pulled print measures 7.5 x 9.5 inches with a sturdy old world paper texture and a silver foil border around the edge.
